How to get the most out of the Family Photo Album
First of all, I suspect that some of the people to whom I send the share link on Google Drive just look at the photos and videos displayed by Google in their viewer and player. These folk are missing 90% of the purpose of this Photo Album, they cannot see the photo descriptions, the family trees, all the text, the names, dates and anecdotes recorded in the website. And they cannot use the multiple hyperlinks to other pages and the menus provided.
To view the Photo Album website properly, you should copy the folder PhotoAlbum from Google Drive to the hard disc (HDD) drive on you computer. You will then be able to view the album as a local website, as intended, in your web browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.). How to copy the folder PhotoAlbum to your device
Once you have a copy of folder PhotoAlbum on your HDD, it is an easy task to view the album on any other device (such as an XBox, Chromebook, any tablet or any phone, even on my campervan entertainment screen). Simply copy folder PhotoAlbum to a 16GB (or bigger) USB thumb drive and plug the USB drive into the other device.
Second, you need to connect your device to a big screen. 24 inch upwards. You can use practically any device to view the Photo Album as a local website (I use desktop PCs with Windows 7 and Windows 10 and with Linux Mint, Chromebooks and an Xbox Series X amongst others) with any web browser (such as Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, the list is long - they all work). I would recommend the Firefox web browser. Google Chrome is very restrictive for sound autoplay and Apple Safari does not always display the webpages as intended.
There is absolutely nothing special about the device you need to view the Photo Album website. As long as it will play video smoothly and it can be connected to a large screen, it is good enough. Most of my PCs are 10-15 years old, one Chromebook was bought in 2012.
I have used an iPhone, but the screen is much to small to view and to control the content comfortably. I recommend a laptop upwards. Mirror your screen to your bigger screen by cable (easy) or by some wireless system (there are many).
