For the tech savvy, how to download groups of videos from Dropbox and save the videos in the correct folder <video>
Brief guidance and suggestions
. These instructions are for Windows 10 22H2
. If you have not already done so, download the short version of the PhotoAlbum as a .zip file. Here is how
. Extract the files from the PhotoAlbum .zip file to a new folder <PhotoAlbum> on your drive C:
. Open folder <PhotoAlbum>. Scroll down to the folder <video>, see "HowTo" below.
. Your aim is to save all of the videos from Dropbox in folder <video>
. When you have finished, it is a really good idea to copy the complete album to a 16GB USB stick.
. You can then view the album on any device that has a USB input socket and a web browser.
HowTo - the practicalities - You need to be online.
1. Downloading - Start on the album page which has a video
. Click the blue "Download" button for the videos you want to download.
. This will take you to a Dropbox page. Click the big "Download" button at the top.
. No need to log in to Dropbox. Click the "Or continue to download only" option at the bottom.
. The group of videos will be saved in your "Downloads" folder as a file such as "video_0000_1970.zip".
. Be patient at this step. WAIT .... until the message "Your download should start soon." disappears.
. And then WAIT a bit longer. My computer is set up to scan all downloads for malware, paranoid setting.
. WAIT .... until the scanning process has finished. The file "video_0000_1970.zip" should be in your "Downloads" folder.
2. Extracting - Or "Un-zipping" or "un-packing" the .zip file

. Select "Extract All...".
. Use the "Browse..." button to navigate to your folder C:\PhotoAlbum\video.
. Click the "Extract" button.
